An entertainment complex beside BC Place.
The Parq Casino, located in downtown Vancouver adjacent to BC Place and Rogers Arena, is a large-scale mixed-use entertainment complex comprising two hotel towers with over 700 hotel units. The ground level, totalling over 72,000 square feet, includes retail space, restaurants and public amenities.
Civil engineering scope
Civil engineering requirements included watermain and storm sewer extensions along Smithe Street totalling over 300 m, and notably the roadway extension of Smithe Street, terminating with a roundabout to facilitate new access to the development. Further frontage improvements along Pacific Boulevard were required, notably the extension of the sidewalk and landscape improvements.
