Galleria

The Galleria development, located next to the new Canada Line station on No. 3 Road, south of Sea Island Way, comprises 2 buildings serving over 16,000 new residents. Ground-level and podium floors accommodate significant commercial and retail uses, along with residential amenities, contributing to a transit-oriented, mixed-use urban centre within the Capstan Village area.

The Galleria development offsite servicing works required coordination with various stakeholders including: The City of Richmond, the Ministry of Transportation and TransLink (in coordination with the Capstan Way Canada Line Station). MPT Engineering brought, through the development and construction process, our years of expertise to actively coordinate and manage expectations and the requirements of the various stakeholders to ensure a successful project outcome.

Significant offsite services were required as a development requirement, including road widening to facility new pedestrian and bicycle facilities, street lighting improvements along all frontages and significant underground utility improvements, totaling over 900 meters of storm sewer, sanitary sewer and water main design and installation.
