MPT Land Surveying is now hiring for full-time positions – CAD Operator and a Land Survey Assistant.

CAD Operator – Job Overview:

Under the direction of a BC Land Surveyor, you will be responsible for preparing legal and topographic plans, building certificates, construction layouts and spreadsheets.  Occasional field work may be required.

Duties:

  • Drafting and data processing for a variety of survey projects, ranging from single family homes, multi-unit strata and engineering
  • Calculating layout information and plans
Now Hiring CAD Operator

Requirements:

  • Diploma in geomatics or engineering education program a definite asset
  • Proficiency in Microsurvey or AutoCAD and Microsoft Office software
  • Experience in survey calculations and drafting plans
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to work on multiple priorities
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated teamwork and reliability
  • Knowledge of land survey principles and requirements would be an asset

Land Survey Assistant – Job Overview:

Under the direction of the Party Chief, the Land Survey Assistant provides assistance to the survey team for the timely and efficient completion of survey projects. Willing to train a motivated, reliable individual with some construction or outdoor work experience.

Now Hiring Land Survey Assistant

Duties:

  • Set up and operation of conventional survey and GPS equipment
  • Clean and maintain equipment, maintain supplies, and stock company vehicle
  • Required to use hand and power tools

Requirements:

  • High school diploma; Geomatics education and previous experience an asset
  • Experience in construction work making and reading measurements would be an asset
  • Work outdoors in all types of weather conditions
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Class 5 driver’s license
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Good teamwork and reliability
  • Capable of learning through on the job training
